Stack nodes

Collect several image, video, audio, and text nodes into one pile, open it to look inside, pull a single node back out, or act on the whole pile at once.

After one batch of a dozen images, the canvas fills up with similar content. Stacking collects those nodes into a single pile that takes the space of one node. Open the pile when you want to look, and pull a node back out when you want to use it.

Stacking only changes how nodes are arranged. It does not change their content and does not regenerate anything.

1. Stack several nodes into a pile

  1. Hold Shift and click each node you want to put away, or drag a selection box from an empty part of the canvas;
  2. Select at least two image, video, audio, or text nodes;
  3. Select Stack in the Toolbar above the selection;
  4. The selected nodes collapse into one position, shown as a pile with the number of nodes inside.

Stacking several nodes into a pile

A pile holds up to 50 nodes. If the selection already contains a pile, it merges with the other nodes into one pile. Groups act only as containers and are not collected. If the selection contains anything other than image, video, audio, or text nodes, Stack does not appear.

2. Open a pile to see what is inside

Select the pile. A gallery opens on the canvas and shows every node inside, in order.

Press Esc or click outside the gallery to collapse it back into the pile.

3. Add more content to a pile

Drag a node from the canvas onto the pile and release it to add it. Drag one pile onto another pile to merge the two into one.

4. Bring a node back to the canvas

To use one node on its own:

  1. Select the pile to open the gallery;
  2. Drag the node you need from the gallery onto the canvas;
  3. Release it. That node returns to the canvas, and the rest stay in the pile.

If only one node remains after you take one out, the pile dissolves and the last node stays on the canvas.

To bring everything back at once, hover over the pile and select Unstack in the Toolbar that appears. The nodes are laid out on the canvas again and the pile disappears.

5. Act on the whole pile at once

Hover over a pile and the Toolbar shows the available actions:

  • Add to Chat: send the images, video, and audio inside to the Agent conversation as references. Text nodes are not sent;
  • Save to Library: choose a folder and save the content inside to your library;
  • Download all: save every downloadable source file inside to your computer in one action.

None of these actions change what the pile contains.

6. Where results land when you generate again

When you generate again on an image, video, or text node that already has a result, that result stays where it is and the new result lands in a newly created node instead of overwriting the original. The new node keeps the input connections of the original and is set to generate once. Audio nodes still update in place.

When one run produces several results, those new nodes can arrive as a pile or spread across the canvas:

  1. Open Canvas Settings;
  2. Find Batch generation results;
  3. Select Pile or Spread. The default is Spread.

This setting applies to later results only. Nodes already on the canvas are not rearranged.

7. Check before deleting a pile

Deleting a pile deletes every node inside it and their connections, not just the pile around them. Use Stack to put content away and Unstack to spread it out again. Delete only when you are sure you no longer need the content.
