Share, view, and clone
Copy a canvas link so someone else can view your work or clone it into their own space.
Create a share link when you want to send a canvas to a client, teammate, or another creator. Anyone with the link can view the canvas and clone a copy into their own space.
1. Create a share link
- Open the canvas you want to share.
- Select Share in the upper-right corner.
- Find Share by link.
- Select Share.
- Once the link is copied, send it to the recipient.
You can also open ··· on a canvas card from the canvas home page and choose Share by link.
Anyone with the link can open the canvas. Before sending it, check for client material, personal information, or anything else that should not leave your team.
2. What recipients can do
A share link opens a read-only canvas. Recipients can:
- view its nodes and connections;
- pan and zoom around the canvas;
- open images, video, audio, and other previewable content;
- on desktop, select Explain How It’s Made and ask Agent to walk through the nodes and connections;
- select Clone Canvas to copy it into their own space.
They cannot edit your original canvas from the read-only page. If teammates need to edit the same canvas, move it to the team space instead of sending only a share link.
3. Prepare the canvas before sharing
The recipient sees the visible content on the shared canvas. Before you send the link:
- Put the result you want reviewed somewhere easy to find.
- Give important nodes clear names.
- Remove or move any material that should not be shared.
If the recipient only needs to review a sequence of clips, place them in a Playlist first. If they only need the final files, you can download or export those files instead of sharing the full canvas.
4. Clone a canvas
When the recipient selects Clone Canvas, Creative OS creates a new canvas in their personal space.
The cloned canvas:
- can be edited and used for new generations;
- does not change your original canvas;
- does not receive later updates from your original canvas;
- uses the recipient's team's Tapies for any new image, video, or audio generations.
If the recipient is signed out, Creative OS asks them to sign in and then continues the clone.
Ask Agent to explain a shared canvas
On desktop, open the read-only share page and select Explain How It’s Made. After you sign in, TapNow clones the canvas into your personal space and opens the editable copy. Agent then uses its nodes and connections to explain how the work was assembled. You can ask follow-up questions or continue editing the copy.
This action does not change the original canvas and is estimated to use 40–150 Tapies. The option is not shown on mobile. If you only need to review the work, you can stay on the read-only page without using it.
