Use library & templates

Save reusable canvas content to the Library, or save a set of nodes and connections as a template.

Some content is useful on more than one canvas: a product image, a character design, a location reference, or a set of nodes you use for the same kind of production.

  • The Library stores images, video, audio, and other canvas content you want to use again.
  • Templates store a set of nodes, connections, and canvas structure.

You can open both from the toolbar on the left side of the canvas.

1. Save canvas content to the library

  1. Select the node or nodes you want to keep.
  2. Choose Save to Library from the node toolbar or context menu.
  3. Choose Private or Team.
  4. Choose a folder.
  5. Select Save.

Save a node to the Library

The original node stays on the current canvas. Creative OS adds a reusable copy to the Library.

Save to Library only appears for supported content. If a node is still generating or does not have a usable file yet, wait for it to finish.

2. Add library content to the canvas

  1. Select Library in the left canvas toolbar.
  2. Choose Private or Team.
  3. Open a folder or use Search to find the asset.
  4. Select the asset, then choose Apply to Canvas.

Creative OS adds it to the current canvas as a node. You can connect it to another node or mention it with @ in Agent.

3. Organize the library

The Library lets you:

  • create folders;
  • search for assets;
  • upload files from your computer;
  • rename, move, or duplicate an asset;
  • download an asset;
  • delete content you no longer need.

Private assets are only available in your Library. Save or publish an asset to the Team Library when teammates need to use it. Check the content and usage rights before making it available to the whole team.

4. Apply a template

Templates are useful when you want to reuse a set of connected nodes, such as a storyboard layout, a set of ad sizes, or a repeatable video workflow.

  1. Select Templates in the left canvas toolbar.
  2. Browse Public Templates or My Templates.
  3. Open a preview if you want to inspect the nodes first.
  4. Select Apply.
  5. Creative OS adds the template's nodes and connections to the current canvas as a group.

Apply a template

Applying a template does not replace your existing canvas. It adds another group of nodes that you can move, ungroup, or edit.

Generation nodes inside a template may still call AI models. Running them uses Tapies based on the model and settings selected for each generation.

5. Create your own template

When a set of nodes is ready to reuse:

  1. Select the relevant nodes.
  2. Group them.
  3. Select the group.
  4. Choose Create Template from the group toolbar.
  5. Add a name and description, then save it.

Create your own template

You can find it later under Templates > My Templates. Applying it copies the stored nodes and connections to the current canvas without changing the canvas where you created it.
