Set up MFA/2FA
Link an authenticator to TapNow EPS or EAS, sign in with verification codes, and save your recovery codes.
When signing in to TapNow's enterprise procurement system (eps.tapnow.ai) or enterprise administration system (eas.tapnow.ai), enter your account and password, then follow the prompts to link an authenticator and enter a 6-digit verification code. This guide helps you complete setup and save your recovery codes in about 3–5 minutes.
What are MFA and TOTP?
MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) requires two or more verification factors from different categories. A password and an authenticator are one such combination: the password verifies something you know, and the authenticator verifies a device you have.
TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) generates 6-digit codes based on time. A password combined with TOTP uses two factors, also called 2FA.
Why use a second verification step?
TapNow enterprise systems use TOTP to help protect company data and personal information, reducing the risk of account theft, unauthorized use of permissions, and credit abuse. Even if your password is exposed, signing in still requires a code from your authenticator.
1. Open the setup page
Have a phone that can run an authenticator app ready. After you enter your TapNow account and password, the page prompts you to link an authenticator and displays a QR code. Keep the page open.
Choose one of the three options below: Microsoft Authenticator (recommended), Google Authenticator, or Apple Passwords. Scan the QR code on the TapNow page with your chosen app, then enter the generated 6-digit code in TapNow.
Do not share your QR code, setup key, 6-digit verification codes, or recovery codes with anyone.

Example enterprise portal interface (labeled “Agent Portal” in the screenshot). The QR code is redacted.
2. Link an authenticator
Microsoft Authenticator (recommended)
Download it from the App Store (iPhone / iPad) or Google Play (Android).
- Open Microsoft Authenticator and select + in the top-right corner.
- Select Scan a QR code, allow camera access, and scan the QR code on the TapNow setup page.

After scanning, the TapNow entry displays a 6-digit code that refreshes regularly. If it is about to expire, wait for the next code.

Return to TapNow, enter the code, and select Continue.
Google Authenticator
Download it from the App Store (iPhone / iPad) or Google Play (Android).
- Open Google Authenticator and select + in the bottom-right corner.
- Select Scan a QR code and scan the QR code on the TapNow setup page.
- Return to TapNow, enter the 6-digit code shown in the app, and select Continue.

Apple Passwords
Available on iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Button labels may vary by operating system version.
- Open Passwords and select + to create an entry.
- Enter a recognizable name, such as “TapNow enterprise procurement system.” Enter your TapNow account in User Name.
- You can keep the automatically generated Password; this step only creates an entry.
- In Website, enter the system you use:
eps.tapnow.aioreas.tapnow.ai. Select Done.

Open the new entry, select Set Up Verification Code or the equivalent option, then select Scan QR Code. Scan the QR code on the TapNow setup page to display a 6-digit code in the entry. Enter it in TapNow and select Continue.
3. Save your recovery codes
After linking the authenticator, TapNow displays recovery codes. Store them somewhere secure that only you can access. If you lose your phone or cannot use your authenticator, you can sign in with a recovery code. Each recovery code can only be used once.

Confirm setup is complete
Setup is complete when TapNow displays “MFA enabled,” “Linked successfully,” or a similar message, and a TapNow account entry appears in your authenticator. The next time you sign in to the enterprise system, you will need the authenticator's 6-digit code after entering your password.
Keep access to your account
- Do not delete the authenticator app or the linked TapNow entry, as this may prevent you from signing in.
- Keep your recovery codes safe so you can sign in when you cannot provide a verification code.
- If you lose your authentication device or recovery codes, contact your enterprise administrator first. If they cannot resolve the issue, contact TapNow support.
FAQ
What if my verification code is rejected?
Check that you are using the code from the correct TapNow entry. If it is about to refresh, wait for the next code. If it still fails, enable automatic date and time on your phone and try again.
What if I cannot scan the QR code?
Make sure the full QR code is visible and unobstructed, increase screen brightness, and hold the camera steady. If the page offers manual setup key entry, you can use that option instead.
What if I lose my phone or cannot use my authenticator?
Try signing in with a saved recovery code first. If your recovery codes are also unavailable, contact your enterprise administrator first. If they cannot resolve the issue, contact TapNow support.
